Sakai was founded in Japan in May of 1918 for the manufacture and repair of diesel locomotives and their engines.

Why is 4000 vpm important? Because the higher the frequency, the faster the permissible ground speed or the closer the impacts, the faster you reach density and the faster you can achieve bonuses rather than penalties.

By rotating its weights faster, Sakai generates more impacts per foot. With this added feature, Sakai can attain the rule-of-thumb ten impacts per foot necessary to reach density at a ground speed of 4.55 mph, faster than any other roller in town. This speed translates directly into more work done and a better bottom line.
